Finding Your Half Hour Pilot Story

$100.00

Writing pilots is hard! You have to come up with characters, a world, AND a story?! It can truly feel impossible. But as Vince Gilligan once personally told me (I asked a question at a panel and he answered it), the key is to follow your main character's story, and this two-part workshop is here to help you find exactly that. Whether you're toying with an idea for a pilot or have an already-written script you want to punch up, this class is designed to give you the tools and structure to shape your comedy pilot into a script that showcases your writing at its best.

This is a two-part zoom class. Please only sign up if you can make both sessions.

October 18 and October 25 - 12:30-2:30p PT / 3:30-5:30 ET (2 hours)

Bio:

Meghan is a Los Angeles-based television writer (Silicon Valley, Beavis and Butt-Head) and playwright (Murder at Winterberg Manor), who has also worked as a writers assistant, script coordinator, and sex journalist. Her television writing has been recognized by the Just For Laughs comedy festival, the WGA Awards, and the Austin Film Festival, and her journalism work has appeared in The Daily Beast, on Nerve.com, and in The LA Times. She hosts a monthly zine workshop, “A Zine of One’s Own,” at the Lyric Hyperion Theater & Cafe, and she’d love to see you there!
