"It's All Going to Shit, but Shit is Funny" with Hilary Campbell
Looking to have artsy group therapy?! SEARCH NO MORE! Spend a weekend with New Yorker cartoonist and comedian Hilary Campbell (Murder Book, The Joy of Snacking) writing and drawing through trauma. What is trauma you ask? You decide. No story too small or too big. Those interested should be working on any short to long form pieces involving difficult subjects, emotions, memory lanes, etc. Together we will workshop, write, draw, read, scream, and maybe even dance! While the workshop will have a focus on drawing, writers and performers are also encouraged to apply.
This workshop will be held at the Peter Herdic Inn in Williamsport, PA; lodging at the inn is included in the class fee. Arrival will be on Friday, May 23rd; checkout is Monday, May 26th. Hilary Fitzgerald Campbell is a cartoonist for the New Yorker, an author, a comedian, a dancer, and a filmmaker living in New York City. She has a real thing for Law and Order (the TV show, not the concept necessarily).
