This is a pop-up writer’s room/feedback session where we can work on common projects to help writers work through problem areas, receive generous feedback, and hopefully leave with ideas and a new outlook on their scripts. This session is all about: COMEDY PILOTS!
This is limited to 4 people!
December 12 , 2-4 pm EST
If you want to sign up, see below:
What you should already have:
A completed pilot draft (that is no more than 30 pages long) or a completed draft of a pilot outline.
SPECIFIC QUESTIONS! Are you stuck on something? Is there a moment that is just not working? Do you need some punch-up on a specific character? Please don’t come with questions like “Is this good?” We cannot help you.
A willingness to give kind, thoughtful feedback. BYO generous spirit.
TIME to read and prepare feedback on three other scripts/projects before we meet. If you sign up for this and don’t do that, I’ll eject you into space. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.
What you’ll get:
Feedback from your teacher on questions you pose, along with suggestions for how the script or outline can continue to blossom.
An opportunity to workshop your work with 3 other writers who are also solving problems in their own scripts.
An opportunity to give feedback to other writers on their script/outline and learn a little about different writing processes.
Hopefully a sweet little writing group that can continue to support each other outside this class!
